Anonymous asked: What size do you consider to be a "chubby cosplayer"

The line wobbles a lot, but usually a size 14 and above (plus size). It can go as small as a twelve, if say, the person is very petite and thusly looks chubbier than a tall person of the same size. Also, some size 14’s would never make it on here (me, for instance).

I’m REALLY TIRED of all the people telling me I don’t post enough *true* fat ladies on here, or telling me someone I posted “Wasn’t chubby enough”. I’m not filtering these submissions according to my personal views, I’m posting what is considered chubby by the cosplay community at large. I’m also sick of folks saying I’m doing a bad thing by saying the girls on the smaller end of the spectrum are chubby, that I’m supporting the epidemic of perfectly healthy girls being called fat and being shamed for such. If anyone took the time to explore the views stated in earlier posts of this blog, or better yet talked to me about it rather than immediately accusing, they’d know that I a) do not approve of the label on these smaller girls and b) do not condone the use of the term fat as an insult or a “bad thing”. If someone can’t be called outright thin, and obviously has the body shape more akin to those shown here, they’re included. Not necessarily because they’re outright FAT, but because no one will give them a place in the “skinny” cosplayer community. I’ve actually turned down quite a few girls’ pictures, leaving them personal replies on their pages explaining that they are a touch too thin to be included and should go ahead and post to “regular” blogs.

Also, anon, that second part wasn’t really directed at you as much as all those  I’ve had to either delete or speak privately with. This is for those I can’t see the pages of.
