As a slightly chubby female cosplayer myself, I often find it hard to cosplay girls.
A suggestion I would like to share, is that no matter what the dress, I would always recommend wearing bicycle shorts under your outfit. If it's a short-skirt, it makes you look sporty and playful, without flashing anyone. If it's a long skirt, it prevents chafing! Win-win...
